
'Chatpate Aloo or spicy stir-fry potatoes is a tangy and delicious spicy dish. These Stir-fried potatoes with green chili and tamarind give a very unique flavor and can be served as a delicious appetizer or you can serve them as a side dish with CHATPATA MASALA ALOO Ingredients 16-20 baby potatoes (aloo), boiled and peeled 10-12 kokum pieces, soaked 10-15 garlic cloves Oil for shallow-frying 1 teaspoon mustard seeds A pinch of asafoetdia 10-15 curry leaves Salt to taste 1 tablespoon red chilli powder Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing Method 1. Put 10-12 kokum pieces in a mixer jar and grind into a paste. 2. Grind 10-15 garlic cloves in a (?) 3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves and crushed garlic. Saute till it turns golden. Add ½ water and mix well. 4. Add potatoes, mix and sauté. Add salt, red chilli powder, and mix well. 5. Cover and cook for 5-8 minutes. Add kokum paste. 6.
